M\u00eame si l\u2019illustre pianiste fut une star internationale, son fr\u00e8re Philippe qui a opt\u00e9 pour la guitare est lui aussi une \u00e9p\u00e9e dans son genre. Il faut dire que chez les Petrucciani, la musique est une composante de l\u2019ADN. Philippe a ainsi d\u00e9couvert le jazz gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son p\u00e8re Antoine dit \u00abTony\u00bb, lui aussi musicien. Berc\u00e9 par les sonorit\u00e9s de Wes Montgomery, il fait de la guitare son instrument de pr\u00e9dilection. Apr\u00e8s un concert donn\u00e9 \u00e0 Philadelphie avec Michel, il rencontre celui qui sera son professeur: John Abercrombie. Un vrai d\u00e9clic pour le guitariste qui, dans les ann\u00e9es 80, forme son groupe pour interpr\u00e9ter ses propres compositions. Il faut cependant attendre 1991 pour voir na\u00eetre son premier album sobrement intitul\u00e9 The First. En 1997, le festival de Mont\u00e9limar invite  toute la famille Petrucciani \u00e0 monter sur sc\u00e8ne pour la derni\u00e8re fois, Michel d\u00e9c\u00e9dant deux ans plus tard \u00e0 seulement 36 ans\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Philippe Petrucciani groupe voit le jour au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 2000 (CD \u00abEste mundo\u00bb). En parall\u00e8le, le guitariste d\u00e9roule une belle carri\u00e8re internationale au cours de laquelle il croisera la route d\u2019un nombre impressionnant de musiciens, dont Lucky Peterson, Marcus Miller, Archie Shepp, Alain Jean Marie, Andy McKee, Andr\u00e9 Villegier, Didier Lockwood, Andr\u00e9 Ceccarelli, Manhu Roche, Dominique Di Piazza ou Michel Zenino.
